Apostolic residence

Hotel Apostolic residence was the former name of what is now called Grand Hotel Praha. The hotel was developed to begin with in an old aristocratic house, originating from the mid-14th century. After a total renovation of this building and an extension by another two Medieval buildings in an Early Baroque design "Dům U zlaté koruny" (House by the Golden Crown) and "Dům u zlatého koníka" (House by the Golden Horse), the former name Apostolic residence was changed to Grand Hotel Praha.

The building of the former Apostolic residence offers luxury accommodation in rooms with a view of the Prague astronomical clock and the renowned Old Town Hall. In the rear section of the building there are rooms in which delicately renovated wooden ceilings and the original murals are supplemented by antique furniture. For the most demanding guests on the top floor there is a loft apartment with a timber beam ceiling, from the windows of which you can also see the spires of St. Vitus' cathedral. All of the rooms are equipped with modern marble bathrooms.
